The Georgenhof

Der Georgenhof

Around 1900 Schwabing was the center of life of the Künsler-Bohème: Not far from the Academy of Fine Arts and Anton Azbé's painting school, the artists settled: Wassily Kandinsky and Gabriele Münter lived in the Georgenhof during their romance. In the 1970s the inn became a modern and elegant grill room and in summer 2008 a new section began: completely renovated by the owner Augustinerbräu and under new management the Georgenhof shines in new splendor.

The dining room

In the carefully renovated dining room, the old building fabric with its original, Bavarian ambience was gently merged with elegant, modern influences. In the mix of tradition and modern urban ambience, stylish rooms with a cozy atmosphere have been created that meet the demands of modern restaurant culture, an attractive meeting point for Schwabing's colorfully mixed audience.

Our beer garden

With the first rays of sun we open our beautiful terrace with a unique view of Türkenstrasse Whether under a shade of chestnut trees, one of the umbrellas or in the sun. Everyone finds their place here. A real oasis of calm in the middle of beautiful Art Nouveau buildings, far away from the hectic, noisy Leopoldstrasse. Our beer garden can accommodate up to 180 people and is open daily until 11 p.m. in summer.
